Princess Woofina

Sorry for the lack of posts everyone. I just haven’t had much to post about at all. I thought about doing some reviews or outfit posts but I don’t actually have a handy full length mirror anywhere in my house with adequate light. So for both actual reviews and outfit posts I need a lot of time to set up, and I just don’t have that sort of time to do it .

It doesn’t help that I spend all my spare time sleeping XD. My favourite hobby!

But anyway I decided that I need to post about something or risk getting into the habit of not posting anything ever, so I looked through my phone and found something.

This is Princess Woofina the Cocker Spaniel. She is a figment of my imagination during one particularly boring lecture.

She went on to be engaged to Lord Schnauzerton during another particularly boring class.

And then they got married. I expect they will live happily ever after with little Schnauzer x Cocker Spaniel puppies…

I’m sorry for the crappy photo qualities but I don’t own a scanner. Hopefully after this series of pictures you won’t think i’m crazy XD.

 

 

Back to uni, being indulgent

Wheee back at uni. Hopefully this semester will be way better than the last! I got a new pencil case featuring the softest Rilakkuma ever when I was in Taipei. He’s been groped by all manner of female hands at uni! I took this picture before one of my tute classes – my good friend looked at my stuff and said ‘spot the Asian’ . Don’t be offended everyone, she’d never say it or think it about anyone else, just to me!

Anyway it’s been seriously freezing here in Australia and so I decided to go back to taking baths again. Plus I just wanted to relax and unwind before uni because I wasn’t really looking forward to getting back. At some time it was just me and my brother here when I got back so I didn’t feel too guilty about excessive water usage.

When I went back to Taipei they had so many Japanese bath powders on sale but because it was hot there, I didn’t get any. I did remind myself that it was cold back at home, but I just didn’t feel like it at the time… now i’m really regretting it! I did find a nice bath powder in Aussie pharmacies called ‘Radox muscle soothe bath salts’ – turns the water into a nice green colour and smells nice and herbal. I didn’t actually find that it was any more soothing for sore muscles than just a normal hot bath, but it was still nice.

I use facial masks when I bathe because it’s too cold normally in winter. This one is from a Taiwanese brand called ‘Love More’ masks which have the cutest packaging. They’re little envelopes from different parts of the world – this one is apparently from the ‘ice springs’ of the Swiss Alps. It claims to be moisturising, and I did find it to work quite well.

I have nooo idea why this picture is so stretched… anyway I also read in the bath otherwise I get bored lol. Short murder mysteries are the best. I tend to not be able to put a book down when I start reading it, so if I read a full length mystery novel in the bath i’d shrivel up into a prune!

This is one of my best purchases ever in Taipei – Body Whip body lotion! Everyone erroneously thinks that it’s some sort of kinky edible sex toy cream but it is not, it’s just normal moisturiser, but in a can!

It really does come out in a whipped cream texture! It’s so light and fluffy and it smells delicious… I have no idea where I can get more when I run out so I desperately hope I don’t any time soon!

Anyway my last tidbit of news is I put an email subscription link on the sidebar to your right – put your email in and you’ll get an email every time I update. This is for all the people who use Google reader/friend connect instead of RSS readers because WordPress doesn’t allow it on WordPress.com hosted blogs. I’m so sorry. Alternatively if you have a Bloglovin’ account i’ve got a nifty cute button on the sidebar to that too. Come on, you know you want to, the cute bird says so!

And my last last tidbit of news is that David got me a new phone in exchange for the ridiculous amount of goodies I got for him in Taipei, so you’ll find that photo quality has gone up dramatically. Wooo!

Random cute pictures from Taipei

Long time no see everyone! I’ve been back for a bit over a week but i’ve just been resting and enjoying the last of my holidays before I start uni again.

Plus despite buying a lot of stuff from Taipei, I didn’t really know what to blog about… but today I decided not to think about it too much and just get back to it. The more you think about it, the less you get things done!

I’ve just got random photos to show from the trip

A ninja-pic of a Rilakkuma plush bag. It was so cute but i’m a bit old for it! I’m so proud of myself for getting this picture because there was a sign that said NO PHOTOS but I was just casually ‘checking out my messages’ haha… uh yeah.

Cutest damn photocopier ever. It’s all like ‘I am ready for copying!’ or something, so cute!

The cover of a mook I saw in Kinokuniya. I didn’t get it because the bag that came with it wasn’t as cute as the cover.

Winnie the Pooh sunscreen at Tailung Hands, the Taiwanese branch of the Japanese shop ‘Tokyu Hands’. I didn’t buy it because the formula was very thick and hard to blend in, but the packaging is too cute!

Lastly this is probably the best thing I saw on the whole trip, even though I didn’t end up buying one. I think the picture speaks for itself! It’s just so ridiculous! Unfortunately I didn’t buy one because i’m not big on lenghtening mascaras, and the brush is one of those thin comb types which i’m not a fan of.

I didn’t take a clear picture of the back of the packaging but it’s just as ridiculous – it’s got some comic featuring a stereotypical plain nerdy girl who is upset at her short eyelashes. She then uses this mascara and turns into the girl you see in the picture – some crazy eyelash monster growing girl XD.

Anyway it’s good to be back – i’ll have a proper non pic spam post sometime!

Cath kidston x uniqlo

Ok I’m kind of blindly posting here because wordpress for android is not very good so I’m sorry if the formatting is off! Currently uniqlo is collaborating with cath kidston and they made some tees together. they’re absolutely gorgeous!
Unfortunately a lot of the smaller sizes were sold out. Boooooo.
Anyway its super hot here, can’t wait to get home so I can blog on an actual physical computer! Till then!

Sweet dang freedom, going to Taipei, got a swap – lots of stuff!

SWEET FREEDOM! I finished my six exams last week Friday and i’m so happy!

I’ve been playing Ocarina of Time guilt free, watching Wimbledon guilt free, playing tennis guilt free, and generally just sitting around doing nothing all day guilt free. Wooo!

I recently bought a new PS3 and tried my hand at  Call of Duty… that did not go down well, but I managed to get six kills, but i’d rather not say how many times I died in comparison to that XD. My brother and my boyfriend found my performance hilarious and spent the whole time laughing. At least they find me entertaining?

Anyway today’s post is kind of just a random stuff post. I recently did a swap with Mini Mo and received her items last week! They really cheered me up during exam time. Here’s what she sent:

1. Macaron cookbook – this book is serious eye candy, but I can barely cook bacon in the microwave so i’m a bit scared to try it out haha! I have a friend who can make macarons very well, so i’m going to get her to help me .

2. Champagne truffles - the box describes these as ‘lightly dusted pink coloured truffles with a milk chocolate butter and Marc de Champagne center’. They are DELICIOUS.

They are just delicious pink balls of creeeeaaamy chocolatey alcoholic goodness!

3. Bourjois Smoky eyes – I love Borjois stuff so I was super excited to get this! It’s a lovely purple palette and I can’t wait to try it because I love purple .

4. Maybelline Watershine gloss - this one is a nice light pink colour with no shimmer or glitter at all, perfect for uni and placement. It feels very moisturising too and not sticky or thick at all which I like.

5. MaxFactor Smokey Eye eyeshadow stick - I’ve never used a pencil eyeshadow nor a MaxFactor product in my life before, so i’m super excited to try this. It’s got one light pink/purplish end and a very sultry dark purple end – I may have to wait until I have a special event to wear this since the colours are a bit too ‘sexy’ for everyday!

6. Handmade bracelet by Mini Mo – this bracelet is really cute and really sweet! I’ll take a photo with my actual camera one day because this was the clearest photo I could get with my phone… which says a lot about my phone’s camera quality .

7. (Not pictured) Soap – Mini Mo also sent me this bar of soap that, to be honest, got quite squished in the mail and so it doesn’t look like anything really lol… I tried to take a photo but it’s not a very photogenic mass so I eventually gave up. Thankfully it looks like it was just a rectangular bar and it is delicious smelling. I actually thought it was edible! I can’t quite put my finger on what the scent is though… it smells kind of like fruity pear-y kind of smell? I’m not sure but it’s delicious! Unfortunately I don’t know where she got it from – it appears to be handmade and the label that comes with it just lists ingredients.

So thank you so much Mini Mo, I loved everything that was in the package and I hope you receive mine soon! And I strongly urge everyone to check out her blog because she makes the sweetest and cutest sweets deco stuff you’ll ever see in your life (even better than mine I think!).

Meanwhile it was my birthday, and I got this lovely HUUUUGE present from my friends. Here’s my friend posing next to it, but I don’t know if he’d want his photo on the internets, so i’ve covered his face with a happy bulbasaur.

Anyway I got a NEW COMPUTER! YAY! I am so happy because my old one was old and literally made loud noises that sounded like it was gasping for air! I couldn’t open two word documents with Firefox without my computer freezing, let alone open Photoshop and anything else really.

My boyfriend built the computer so I like to call it the computer of love haha… lame!

And my computer does look very decent, not like those x-rated super sexy naughty PCs out there XD!

In other news I am actually going to Taipei on Friday for a week. I think I will try to blog from my phone while i’m there, but I might not reply to comments because it’s a nightmare to do on my phone, and i’ll just do that when I get back.
